Safety Management System

At Matrix Oil International Ltd, we have established a comprehensive Safety Management System (SMS) that acts as a foundation for effectively managing and enhancing our safety performance. The SMS offers a structured framework to identify, evaluate, and mitigate risks associated with our operations, ensuring a systematic approach to safety management.

Hazard identification, risk assessment and incident investigation

The Company has established a procedure to adhere to the principles of corporate responsibility and a risk-based approach to Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE). This procedure includes a methodology for identifying industrial hazards, environmental aspects, and conducting risk assessments to effectively manage risks and opportunities within the management system. The Company ensures regular updates of the register of production risks and environmental aspects for all divisions, with a minimum frequency of once per year. The identification and assessment of hazards, risks, and environmental aspects are conducted in a comprehensive manner across different levels within the organization. To enhance communication and reporting of potential risks and dangerous situations, employees of Matrix Oil International Ltd Group enterprises have various channels available, including a Hotline, dispatch service, and email, enabling them to report promptly and around the clock to their immediate supervisor or relevant authorities. Safety Awareness and Engagement

Matrix Oil International Ltd promotes a culture of active involvement from all employees in safety initiatives, which encompasses participating in safety meetings, undergoing training, and identifying hazards. We firmly believe in the importance of transparent communication and a collaborative approach as essential elements in fostering a robust safety culture.

In order to prevent and effectively respond to emergency situations (ES) resulting from oil and oil product spills, Matrix Oil International Ltd has implemented a comprehensive system. This system aims to safeguard the well-being of the population and the environment by undertaking the following measures:

Matrix Oil International Ltd maintains an updated plan for mitigating and managing oil and oil product spills in compliance with legal requirements. The Company regularly conducts comprehensive exercises to enhance preparedness for containing and eliminating emergencies. Contracts have been established with professional emergency response units to swiftly respond to potential incidents. Additionally, a certified volunteer emergency response team (VERT) has been formed under the supervision of the departmental certification commission. The Company has created and maintains necessary inventories of material resources to effectively address emergencies, including water body protection, operational oil recovery facilities, containment booms, and bioponds.

Matrix Oil International Ltd prioritizes transparency in environmental protection and ensuring environmental safety. To achieve this, the Company has established a mechanism for involving the interested public and the media in monitoring integrated exercises. However, in 2021, due to the unfavorable circumstances resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic, the exercises were conducted without the participation of the concerned public.
